How did you come to Henkel?
I began working in an Advertising Agency in China where I was responsible for Media planning. After a while I recognized that I wanted to expand my knowledge in media and planned to change my scope of work. My boss introduced me to Henkel, a company with a good reputation in China. I perceived the overwhelming opportunities Henkel offers. So I started as Media Manager for Henkel China. Later I received the chance to relocate and came to Henkel Düsseldorf. Here, I am also in the marketing department.

What is your function at Henkel?
We steer and control the detergents business in the Middle East and North Africa and observe the product range in the region. Here in Germany I am involved in the management of new products and have significantly more responsibility.

What makes your working environment special?
It is very multicultural at Henkel. I work together with Germans, Italians, Tunisians, Indians, my boss for example is from Egypt. Since we are responsible for the region of Middle Africa I communicate every day with people from the different countries in different functions. That makes every day different.

What makes your job attractive?
For me, of course, it was easier to work in China, because I was used to everything there. Here in Germany I discover new things every day. This makes the days sometimes hard – but very interesting. I am gaining a lot of international experience and I am enjoying my stay here.
