In July 2002, the Spanish business magazine "Actualidad Española" declared Henkel Ibérica to be the best employer in its sector. In the general list of 114 companies, Henkel occupied the 19th place. The companies were awarded points for the following criteria: career opportunities, vocational and advanced training, flexible hours of work, potential earnings and the general working environment. Henkel Ibérica scored 806 out of a possible 1000 points and was thus well above the average score for each criterion. 

The respected Spanish business academy, Escuela de Alta Dirección y Administración (EADA), in Barcelona also rated Henkel's human resources management favorably. It awarded Henkel Ibérica the first prize for "employee training" for the year 2001/2002.
