Group-wide progress in sustainable business development
In Henkel's latest Annual Report 2002, presented at the Press Conference on Fiscal 2002 held on March 5, 2003, the Company was able to report clear progress in its sustainability performance.
External certification of integrated management systems for safety, health, environment and quality is also increasing throughout the Group. More than 60 percent of Henkel production facilities are now certified to the international environmental management standard ISO 14001 and over 80 percent to the ISO 9000 family of worldwide quality management standards.
In addition to its annual report, Henkel has been publishing an annual environment report since 1992. It has been successively expanded to include safety and health, then social commitment, thus evolving into a sustainability report. The Sustainability Report 2002 will be presented on March 19, 2003. The sustainability pages at Henkel's website will be updated at the same time.
