On June 24th, Henkel CEO Ulrich Lehner and many other CEO`s together with representatives of international organizations and governments discussed the issue of what concrete role the principles of the Global compact play in the era of globalization and in light of increasing international tension. At the conclusion of the summit, participants unanimously passed a declaration that “business should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.” This declaration now forms the tenth principle of the Global Compact.
