The German newspaper Handelsblatt took a closer look at 132 annual reports published by German companies, including Henkel’s.

The Henkel Annual Report 2004 took second place with 935 points behind utility RWE with 950 points in the segment of DAX companies. In total, Henkel was ranked seventh. Henkel achieved high scores with its charts, texts and graphics to provide in-depth information on earnings, special factors or business forecasts. The survey was based on examination of the published reports of 24Dax-, 38MDax, 41SDax- und 29TecDax companies for the financial year 2004. The researchers awarded points for the quality and presentation of information using 250 criteria.

According to the Corporate Governance, Henkel committed itself to the maxim of transparency which means active and open information policy.
