Presentation of the UN Millennium Development Gates

Henkel supports the presentation of the UN Millennium Development Gates in Heidelberg

Henkel supports the presentation of the UN Millenium Development Gates in Heidelberg
Henkel is making a financial contribution to the presentation of the UN Millennium Development Gates at the third “Heidelberger Agenda-Tage”. The Gates symbolize the partnership between people from rich and poor countries. They are part of a worldwide information campaign under the motto “No excuse - 2015”, launched by the United Nations to communicate its development goals.
“We are happy to support the presentation of the Millennium Gates”, says Hans-Günter Bredtmann, in charge of SHEQ Management at Henkel´s Heidelberg site. “Sustainability in all its aspects is a top priority in Heidelberg. In cooperation with the City of Heidelberg, we have repeatedly demonstrated that sustainable development is not an abstract term but refers to highly practical measures through which a great deal can be achieved.”
More information about the Millennium Development campaign in Germany can be found at http://www.millenniumcampaign.de. After Heidelberg, the Gates can be seen from September 21 to November 4, 2005, in Osnabrück and then in Hamburg. The United Nations provides information about the Millennium Development Goals at http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals.
