Responsible Care Award of Stiftung Arbeit und Umwelt

Recognition for integrated management systems

In the "Environment Award 2000 - Responsible Care" organized by the Stiftung Arbeit und Umwelt (Work and the Environment/Jobs and the Environment Foundation) Henkel was honored for its introduction of integrated management systems supported by the Henkel Integrated Management Documentation (HIMDOC) software.

The award was presented to the chief software developer Martin Krepart. It was conferred mainly in recognition of the systematic involvement of Henkel employees in developing safety, health, environment and quality management at Henkel.

The HIMDOC system is a core instrument for implementation of Responsible Care in Henkel business sectors and production sites worldwide. It ensures that guidelines and responsibilities are governed by uniform worldwide corporate standards. This reduces the administration effort and heightens transparency. Integrated systems benefit employees too. They are easier to assimilate and to apply and hence help to ensure that management requirements are more readily internalized and implemented with the greatest possible efficiency.
